We thoroughly enjoyed our week in Mysore, an historic city, seat of the maharajas (kings) for centuries. Its historic architecture and tree-lined streets reminded me a little bit of Savannah. However, the incredibly opulent Mysore palace, one of the most popular visitor destinations in the world, has no comparison in Savannah – or the entire US. “Joy Rides” on an elephant or camel are also hard to come by in the States. Our hosts and GSE coordinators in Mysore were excellent and really helped us gain an appreciation for their beloved city.

this is great to hear how you are doing while you are there. I know it will be fun to hear the whole story (not possible, of course) when you get back to Georgia.
Kirst, it sounds like you and your team are having an amazing time. We are thinking of you, I shared the website with Renee B. as she spent some time in India last winter. Perhaps you two can swap stories when you return. Stay safe.
Thanks for the updates Kirsten! I love the sari pics too! I’m thinking of you and so happy you’re having such an amazing trip.
Looks like fun! Got your postcard Kirstin (and Marc)…Thanks! Cannot wait to hear about your adventure. We miss you!
